The objective of aRAWness is to provide a better base for decision makers such as local and regional political actors (top-down) to raise the European society awareness of the circular economy and to provide a better transparency for European citizens (bottom-up) in this field. To achieve the overarching project goal two central sub-objectives are pursued:

• to initiate a continuous European exchange and transfer of information with regard to (regional) good practices and future challenges in enhancing the European society awareness of the circular economy;
• to foster a European alignment in the context of enhancing society awareness of the circular economy which is aspired to be achieved by orchestrated measures, e.g. from regional, political as well as further public and private actors.

The execution of three regional workshops and one European workshop with a broad audience ranging from raw materials specialists to actors from a wider public as well as policy-makers in at three different European regions.
